Starting from April 8, Wuhan Tianhe Airport resumed domestic passenger flights. At 07:24 that day, Wuhan Tianhe Airport's first outbound flight MU2527 took off, carrying 49 passengers to Sanya! China Eastern Airlines MU2527 has become the "first flight" of Wuhan Tianhe Airport to resume domestic passenger flights, with the aircraft type of 737-800, which marks the official resumption of the air passage and China Eastern flights in Wuhan.
China Eastern's Wuhan branch, as the base airline of Wuhan , restored 27 aircrafts from the parking and storage status to airworthiness after the resumption date had been confirmed. China Eastern carried out overall disinfection of the aircraft cabin and replaced new air filter devices in advance, which greatly reduced the possibility of virus spreading on the aircraft. Before Wuhan resumed flight, China Eastern also completed a series of pilot training preparations. Since March, it has completed 114 training sessions at Wuhan Airport, involving 346 take-offs and landings, effectively maintaining the flying skills of the pilots.
